King’s Worcester (935 boys and girls, 11-18) is looking for an inspirational and experienced musician to lead its impressive music department from September 2013. Music is taught at GCSE and A level. Extra-curricular music has been a traditional strength, based principally on Classical music but embracing many other genres too. A steady stream of Organ and Choral scholarships to Oxford and Cambridge colleges over the years, as well as a number of places and awards at specialist music colleges, have underlined the strong link between practical and academic musicianship at the school.
